Domestic Doll Apron Giveaway and Interview
I had previously featured domestic dolls beautiful plaid apron on a post before and she has graciously offered to do a giveaway for my blog.
I did an interview with her so you can learn more about her and her shop
1.So tell us a bit about your self whats your name where are you from?
My name is Lisa Valenzuela and I am a California native. I was born and raised in Redondo Beach and currently live about 5 minutes away in Torrance.
2.Are you a full timer on etsy or do you have another job ,if so what do you do?
I truly wish I could be a full timer on etsy. But as of now I am a full time Operations Supervisor at a major auto maker. Every day I get off work and head straight to my sewing machine and/or drafting table.
3. What is your favorite apron you have ever made?
I would say the Lovely Lupe Apron because there was so much meaning behind it. I have always been a supporter of Breast Cancer Research and this is why I designed this apron and offer a percentage of sales to research a cure through the Susan G. Komen foundation. The apron is inspired by my mother who had breast cancer 16 years ago. She is a survivor and truly displayed her strength as a fighter.
4.What do you like to do on your time off any hobbies?
I love to cook and entertain. So when I’m not sewing I’m hoisting small dinner parties for my girlfriends, trying dinner creations, and finding some complementary wines.
5. Where did you come up with the name for your shop?
I actually sent an email to all my close friends explaining my new venture and a brief description of what my aprons were all about and who the ideal customer is. My good friend Stacy came up with the winning name.
6. Okay everybody gets this one if you could pick 3 people dead or alive to have dinner with who would it be and why.
Elizabeth Taylor: She has always been someone I have admired greatly. She is so complex and yet there is a simple honest beauty the lies in her eyes. I have to admire a woman who loves jewelry and love as much as she does.
My brother Eddie: He was always so supportive of everything I did. He passed away 8 years ago and I miss him daily. I wish we could meet again and reminisce over our childhood memories and a hug would be nice.
CoCo Chanel: Another strong woman that I admire. I would love to enjoy a meal with her and discuss how she persevered through all her dark times to become the woman who is the epitome of what a real lady should be.
Here are 2 of her holiday aprons she has 4 and has a few more on the way
